I am a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, and during the rough time of my cancer battle, I meditated and read key scriptures from the Bible that encouraged me through this process. The power of praise helped me become a breast cancer survivor. I believe that my decision to praise God through cancer saved my life. Understanding His promises helped me know that He wanted to heal me. He wanted to do a divine healing for me. God wants to do a great things in us if we will step out on faith and be obedient to His Word.
Jeremiah 30:17 says, “For I will restore health unto thee and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord.” Praising God through cancer gave me the strength to know that God would do what He has promised to do. From that point on, my life changed forever. I learned I must stand on the promises of God in all things. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” What you believe and speak not only affects your body but your immune system as well.
Your words become either a blessing or a curse to you. You must speak God’s Word into your individual circumstance or situation. No one else can do it for you. James 1:21 says, “Receive with meekness the en grafted word, which is able to save your souls.” Speak God’s Word in your life. His Word is greater than your situation. I encourage you to set aside some time in your day to fellowship with God and meditate on His Word by speaking it into your life daily. Declare his Word today in your life and remember that the best is yet to come.
How To Have A Personal Relationship With God
I pray my personal story has encouraged you. I also pray that if you realize that presently you do not know God personally through a relationship with his son Jesus Christ that you would consider four simple points below.
One: God LOVES you and created you to know Him personally.
“God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Two: People are sinful, meaning that unholy actions and thoughts directed by our self-will have separated us from a holy God, so we cannot know Him personally or experience His love.
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
Three: Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for people’s sin. He is God’s Son and through His death on the Cross, the blood he shed washed away our past, present and future sins so that we can know God personally and experience God’s love for eternity.
“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Four: We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know God personally and experience His love.
“By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works that no one should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
If you would like to begin a personal relationship with God today through his son Jesus Christ, you can pray and invite him into your life right now:
Jesus Christ, I need you. I confess that I have sinned against you and have been running my own life. Thank you for dying on the Cross for my sins. Please come into my life, forgive my sins, and set me free from the chains of sins and death. Begin directing my life. Make me the person you created me to be. Thank you for answering my prayer by coming into my life and giving me eternal life.
If you prayed this prayer, these things are true for you:
- Jesus came into your life.
- Jesus set you free from the power of sin and forgave you for all of your mistakes and shortcomings.
- You became a Child of God.
- You received eternal life.
- You began the new satisfying life for which God created you.
